A map made to illustrate the borders I had in mind for an Italian state forged by a more successful, and longer lived, Gian Galeazzo Visconti. There's no real timeline attached to it, but the PoD is that he either survives or avoids the sickness or poison that killed him in 1402. He survives for 13 more years, forging a prosperous state in Northern Italy. Beyond that I haven't given it much thought, but I'd certainly like it to remain a unified state beyond GGs death, unlike OTL.

This looks awesome! How close is it to actual Italian history? I don't know much, so I can't tell.

Thanks!

Historically Gian Galeazzo Visconti managed to conquer (through various means) many of the territories shown here, but failed to capture certain very important ones likes Florence, Siena, Mantua, Modena, Genoa etc. (In some cases he was not even in a position to try,)

He also died in 1402, and because of how he had split up his domains between his various sons his little "empire" splintered into many warring statelets after his death.

Here he survives the poison/disease that killed him in 1402, and what you see here is the result.
